Learning a new language can be both exciting and difficult to some extent. So many methods exist to help us in this interesting adventure. My goal is to help students connect Spanish with their native language in the most natural and effective way possible, which is why my method is based on the human process; the human method. Now I invite you to start your learning journey with these common phrases and the verb Ser, little by little: one verb at a time.


14 Natural phrases in present tense.

It includes simple present and present subjunctive.


  • Soy estudiante de medicina. Soy estudiante. I am a medical student. I am a student.


  • Eres muy inteligente. You are very smart


  • Él es un buen amigo. He is a good friend.


  • Ella es una excelente cocinera. She’s an excellent cook.


  • Nosotros somos hermanos. Somos hermanos. We are brothers - siblings.


  • Vosotros sois muy trabajadores. You are hard workers.


  • Ojalá ustedes sean mis vecinos en el hotel. I hope you will be my neighbors at the hotel.


  • Ellos son compañeros de trabajo. They are my coworkers - colleagues.


  • Espero que esta sea la llave de la casa. I hope this is the key to the house.


  • La mesa es muy bonita. The table is very nice.


  • El cielo es azul todos los días. The sky is blue everyday.


  • ¿Qué hora será? (I wonder) what time is it?


  • ¿Qué hora es? What time is it?


  • Ojalá seamos buenos amigos. I hope we become good friends. - ...we will be
