Simple Past // Pasado Simple

I took a glass of cool water to quench my thirst. Tomé un vaso de agua fresca para saciar mi sed.

He took the book that was on the table and began to read. Tomó el libro que estaba en la mesa y comenzó a leer.

We took the bus that would take us to the beach. Tomamos el autobús que nos llevaría a la playa.

They made the decision to go on the trip despite the difficulties. Tomaron la decisión de irse de viaje a pesar de las dificultades.

I ate a delicious pizza that I took from the oven. Comí una deliciosa pizza que tomé del horno.

We drank a hot coffee while we talked. Tomamos un café caliente mientras conversábamos.
